Description
The Free Wheelers 1 coursebook is the first book of the Free Wheelers series. The specific aims of the course are to help students to acquire a basic knowledge of the English language through the adventures of 5 kids who come from 5 different English-speaking countries (the U.S.A., England, Australia, New Zealand and Canada).
Key features of the coursebook
- A special section to help students revise their previous knowledge and be ready to start the units
- 15 units of three lessons each
- Reading texts of different types
- Comprehension and consolidation of the grammatical phenomena and vocabulary through a wide variety of tasks in the first two lessons of each unit
- More emphasis on the development of listening, speaking and writing skills in the third lesson of each unit
- A comic strip story, a revision page and an “I CAN DO” list for self-evaluation, every three units
This CD-Rom provides students with a variety of level-appropriate interactive tasks that are included in neither the coursebook nor the workbook. The CD-Rom gives students further opportunities to practise and consolidate the vocabulary and grammar they have learnt at each stage.
The Writing through projects 1 booklet is supplied free with each coursebook (teacher’s and student’s). Through creative writing based on Project Work, pupils will learn to develop their imagination, building on language they have learnt at each stage.
